Funding under the European Territorial Co-operation (ETC) INTERREG V Programme is divided into three different strands. Transnational (INTERREG VB), Interregional Co-operation (INTERREG VC) and Cross-Border (INTERREG VA) and the SEUPB is the Regional Contact Point.
Funding under the European Territorial Co-operation (ETC) INTERREG V Programme is divided into three different strands:
Transnational programmes such as the Atlantic Area, Northern Periphery & Arctic and North West Europe Programmes bring together regions from different EU and neighbouring countries with a similar geography, culture and challenges. The aim of the Programmes is to raise each region’s capacity to develop solutions, through transnational cooperation and ultimately to reduce regional disparities.
The SEUPB is the Regional Contact Point for the Northern Periphery and Artic Programme and an Information and Support Point for the Atlantic Area, Northwest Europe and INTERREG Europe Programmes.
The SEUPB can provide guidance and support for Northern Ireland applicants developing and implementing Transnational and Interregional projects.
The SEUPB also carries out First Level Control for Northern Ireland partners for all four Programmes and promotes North-South cooperation and collaboration.
The Northern Ireland Experience in the Transnational Programmes booklet provides an overview of the transnational programmes that we manage and includes a number of case studies.
