In this section we would like to provide university admins with useful information on Statista Usage Reports for Campus Licenses. If you do not have a Campus License for your university yet, feel free to contact us with a request or send a mail to support@statista.com.
Usage Reports
Where to find and to download Usage Reports
Navigate to statista.com
Login and navigate to My Account > Account Details
My Account Page
Choose "Usage Tracking" and you will find the following Reports on the left side:
COUNTER STATISTICS
Usage Statistics – BR-1
Usage Statistics – DB-1
Usage Tracking Page
COUNTER Statistics
If clicking on "COUNTER Statistics" you need to choose the data range, format and report type.
After clicking "Submit" you get your report.
Fields may change when a different Report Type in the dropdown list is selected.
Date Range (From, To)
Please choose a monthly data range for your report.
Format
The report will be downloaded as format TSV (.tsv). Hint: In the future we will also provide the file formats Excel (.xls) and CSV (.csv)
Report Type
You can choose the report type that you like to download.
The following report type options are:
Platform Report PR
Platform Report PR_P1
Database Report DR
Database Report DR_1
Database Report DR_2
Please note that depending on the size and scope of the report the export may take a few minutes. Please do not refresh the page during the loading process.
Retrieve COUNTER Statistics via SUSHI API
Besides the report that can be downloaded as a file through the browser, you also have the possibility to retrieve COUNTER Statistics via SUSHI API.
For that, please go to "My Account: COUNTER Statistics", scroll to the end of the page and click on the link.

Usage Statistics – BR-1 and DB-1
The COUNTER reports are provided in the formats “BR-1” and “DB-1”.
These reports are currently still available, but will no longer be available in the near future.
No new reports will be created for BR-1 and DB-1. Please use instead the certified Counter Reports.

Converting TSV to CSV file
Please follow the steps below to import the TSV file to Excel:
Open Excel
Open a new and empty Excel Workbook
Open tab "Data" at the top of the window and click the button "From Text/CSV"
A new window will open to select a file stored locally on your computer
At the bottom right of the window, select "All Files" (instead of "Text Files", which is the default selection)
Select the TSV file to be imported into Excel and click the "Import" button
In the preview window, select "Tab Stop" as the file limit and click "Load" to import the file
