In 2020, the banking and manufacturing sectors were the biggest spenders on big data analytics technologies in Italy. The manufacturing sector contributed for 24 percent of the total expenditure, while the banking industry contributed for 28 percent. This was about double the figure for the telecommunications & media sector (14 percent).
