Brazil's natural resources was the main driver of tourism development in 2021, according to the Travel and Tourism Development Index (TTDI). Out of the possible seven points, this pillar obtained a score of 6.2. In the second place was the country's price competitiveness.

The analysis covers five subindexes: enabling environment, travel and tourism policy and enabling conditions, infrastructure, travel and tourism demand drivers, and travel and tourism sustainability. Each of these subindexes groups three to five pillars.
