Purchased by Microsoft in 2014, Minecraft is a sandbox video game which has proven to be hugely successful across the world. A Xbox One version of the game with large worlds and other upgrades was released in September 2014. As of August 2020, this version has sold around 5.43 million copies worldwide, including 3.23 million in North America.
