According to a survey by Rakuten Insight in April 2022, 76 percent of Thai respondents stated that they played online games, while 22 percent of the respondents did not. The survey also explored the frequency of online gaming and it revealed that half of Thai respondents played online games on a daily basis.

The survey was conducted among 10,082 female and 4,996 male respondents. Other surveyed countries included China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Vietnam.
