According to a survey by Rakuten Insight in April 2020, 71 percent of Thai respondents stated that they bought items in bulk in a supermarket or a hypermarket during the COVID-19 pandemic. The survey also explored popular stocked-up items during the pandemic and it revealed that dry foods were the most popular item.
