According to a survey by Rakuten Insight on panic buying after the coronavirus outbreak, 90 percent of Indonesian respondents aged 55 years and older stated that they had not engaged in panic buying because of the coronavirus pandemic. In the same survey, the majority of respondents who did not engage in panic buying indicated that they trusted supermarkets to have enough supplies.
