Living in a post-COVID crisis world would involve making some changes to one's daily habits. A survey conducted in May 2020 investigated whether Italians planned on choosing bikes over public transportation in the near future in light of contagion concerns. Out of the 220 regular bike users who were interviewed, an overwhelming majority of 80 percent thought their bike use frequency would increase. Half of the occasional bike users reported the same answer, while only 14.7 percent among the 366 non-bike users were inclined to give a try to this mean of transportation.
