Number of overnight stays on French coasts summer 2019
The number of nights spent on French coastlines underwent a decrease during the 2016 summer compared to the same period in 2015. This downward trend could be partly explained by the fact that they were fewer long weekends that year. Nevertheless, figures recovered a growing trend as they have been rising continuously in recent years. Whereas 103 million nights were spent on French shores in 2016, the number increased to 121.8 in 2019.
