Accessing the Internet in the (not so) old days, was usually done using a computer. The rising Internet capacities of mobile phones, smartphones, as well as other smart devices, have made their way into the mobile Internet market. Thus, in 2020, the most used device to access social media was the smartphone with which 74 percent of the sample of French adults active on social media accessed these platforms. Half of them still accessed social media through their computers.
