The Indian states of Meghalaya had about 60 percent of women panel lawyers as of June 2022. By contrast, the state of Uttar Pradesh had only about ten percent of women panel layers. The per capita spent by the state government on legal aid was 3.84 Indian rupees in financial year 2021.
