Maritime ports in France in 2018, by maritime area
In 2018, there were 462 maritime ports in France. Nevertheless, the distribution of these ports varies according to the maritime zone. The coastal region with the highest number of ports was Brittany in 2018. The number of Breton ports indeed amounted to 140 that year, while French overseas territories alone had only 33 maritime ports.
