Over 27 billion euros were allocated to multifamily real estate in Europe in the first quarter of 2022. Germany was Europe's largest multifamily market with approximately eight billion euros' worth of investment. Denmark and France ranked second and third with approximately five and 3.5 billion euros, respectively. Between the first half of 2020 and the first half of 2021, investment volumes grew significantly in some of the surveyed countries, such as Finland, Poland, Denmark and the UK. In Germany, investments decreased slightly.
