According to a study on media consumption in the United States in 2022, 36 percent of streaming subscribers, including audio as well as video streamers, from generation Z already cut back on entertainment subscriptions due to inflation. In comparison, only 16 percent of streamers among the generation of baby boomers claimed that they had also cut their spending on streaming services.
