The Asia-Pacific region has had the largest growth rate in sustainability reporting, moving from roughly 50 percent of firms to 92 percent of companies engaging in sustainability reporting. The Europe and Africa were the only regions to recently experience a regression, as the number of firms participating in sustainability reporting dropped by one and five percent respectively since 2022.

Data were collected using a sample size of 5,800 companies made up of the top companies (N100 and G250 companies) across 58 countries.
*There have been changes in the naming of regions in the latest report. Data from before 2022, attributed to the current North America and Middle East groups, were previously categorized under the broader regions of "Americas" and "Middle East and Africa," respectively.
