Norway is by far the largest producers of natural gas in Europe. In 2023, Norway extracted 116.6 billion cubic meters worth of the fossil fuel. In comparison, Germany extracted around four billiob cubic meters worth of natural gas the same year.

Since the data is derived directly from metric tons of oil equivalent using an average conversion factor, it does not necessarily equate with gas volumes expressed in specific national terms.
