Global investments in power grids and energy storage amounted to 452 billion U.S. dollars in 2024, up from some 416 the year prior. These investments were part of the worldwide clean energy funding, which, beside power grids and battery storage, included renewable energy, nuclear power, energy efficiency, low-carbon fuels and carbon capture storage, and electric vehicles.
