Car dealerships in the United States spent approximately 8.9 billion U.S. dollars in advertising in 2023, up 3.8 percent from 8.57 billion dollars a year earlier. However, ad expenditures remained below the amounts recorded before the pandemic, which exceeded 9.1 billion dollars annually between 2015 and 2019.
