In a survey conducted about festive season shopping expectations among Australian consumers in September 2023, around 60 percent of those surveyed said they expected to buy the same amount of gifts during the 2023 holiday period as they had in 2022. Around three in ten respondents indicated they were planning to buy less presents during the 2023 festive season than they did in the previous year.
