In 2023, Mercado Libre – an Argentinian online marketplace headquartered in Montevideo, Uruguay – generated an estimated 625 million U.S. dollars in digital retail media advertising revenue, up from less than 434 million dollars a year earlier. That represents an annual increase of over 40 percent. Mercado Libre, Amazon.com.br, Magazine Luiza, and Amazon.com.mx were among Latin America's leading e-commerce platforms by digital retail media ad revenue in 2023.
