The global carbon removal industry received approximately 1.2 billion U.S. dollars in early-stage investment in 2023. The United States was the largest market by far, with 31 companies attracting some 675 million U.S. dollars. Canada and the United Kingdom followed, with companies in both countries raising around 200 million U.S. dollars.
