In 2022, the Israel Innovation Authority (IIA) allocated a total value of 80 million Israeli shekels (about 22 million U.S. dollars) in grants to start-ups in the field of agricultural and food technologies. This reflected an increase of almost 16 percent from the previous year. Overall, the share of IIA funding dedicated to these tech ventures was relatively high in comparison to other verticals.
