This statistic represents the results of an online survey among 1,568 U.S. Hispanic shoppers from September to November 2014. Hispanic consumers were asked how much money they spend on food per trip on average. The results showed that U.S. Hispanics with an household income between 50,000 to 99,999 U.S. dollars spent on average 88 U.S. dollars per visit on food.

For the Hispanic oversamples, in order to reach a more representative population, Nielsen conducted a portion of the survey using a CATI (computer-assisted telephone interviewing) system. Both mobile-only respondents and those with a landline were contacted using this method.
