External net migration in Spain 2010-2023

During the first years of the period under consideration, the net migration balance with countries other than Spain resulted in negative figures. This trend, however, terminated in 2016, a year in which Spain received more newcomers than people leaving the country. In 2023, the net migration balance of Spain with other countries amounted to 642,296 individuals.
