The difference between the number of unfilled vacancies in the construction industry in the Netherlands and new vacancies was much lower in 2023 than a decade earlier. That means that the number of unfilled vacancies has increased at a much higher rate than the number of new vacancies. That suggests that labor shortage is a larger problem than in 2013.
