According to a survey carried out in the United States in September 2024, about a fifth of surveyed consumers were planning to spend between 1,000 to roughly 2,000 U.S. dollars during 2024's holiday shopping season. Just 15 percent of respondents had a budget of over 2,000 U.S. dollars.
