In 2023, Brazil imported nearly 27.6 billion U.S. dollars worth of motor vehicles and auto parts, a very slight decrease from the previous year. The Brazilian automotive industry has been recovering from the negative effects of COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, the industry experienced a dramatic increase of 90 percent in imports. Exports of the automotive industry in 2023 amounted to approximately 21.3 billion dollars.
