During a 2022 study conducted among people aged between 15 and 29 years in Brazil, around 30 percent of respondents said sertanejo – Brazil's country music – was their favorite music genre. Funk carioca, pop music, and hip hop music tied in second, each mentioned by 24 percent of the interviewees.
