Fallow
Included In
Fallow is a sleek all-day spot serving one of the best breakfasts in London. You could come here at dinner and impress a client over a whole cod's head glistening with sriracha, but we think this British spot in St James's shines brightest when it's sending out buttery, branded croissant pucks. Those with trust funds, loose work start times, and something to celebrate will find a lot to like about the meaty black pudding benedicts and dimly lit dining room. You can't go far wrong, but get the Fallow Full to try a little bit of everything. Whether you come in the morning or at night, all the dishes spend some time over the flames: chilli pepper is charred, whey cauliflower is roasted, and shiitake mushrooms are smoked. It's all solid and perfectly cooked, but the experience—all-marble-everything, leather aprons, serious dry-ageing-time-of-cows chat—lacks some warmth and fun. Fallow offers broad appeal, but stick to breakfast to have a truly memorable time.
