LDNReview
If you can’t find Goldies in the Kingly Court maze, first follow the scent of BBQ smoke. And when you see piles of golden chips that make you consider asking a stranger for a bite, know you’ve found it. The buzz at this BBQ spot in Soho almost verges on too loud, which makes Goldies ideal for a group that’s ready to share a bunch of skewers, a whole baby chicken, and a load of very good beef-dripping fries. Not all of the food is memorable, especially the skewers, which might leave you a little disappointed. But beef shin croquettes are so good you’ll want one each, and we kept nibbling on the aforementioned twice-cooked frites long after we said we were too full for another bite. So while Goldies may not be the place for a deep, meaningful first date, it's still a useful spot to know about when you need a last-minute reservation around Oxford Street.
