From the minute of purchase to the arrival of our new anoles , we have had a wonderful experience. Delivering the live animals can be tricky but all 12 made it here safety and alive. Thanks to Backwater reptiles we have a fantastic family of frogs , bearded dragons and now anoles. Thanks again Backwater reptiles.

They used to be on point with live insects and shipping. Now, sometimes i will have less insects than what i paid for. if I pay for Fed Ex 2 day shipping, it takes 4 days to get it. I could have paid less for regular shipping. What a rip off. It was too good to be true.

I ordered 75 total dubia roaches 50 medium and 25 large and all 75 arrived alive and very active within 3 days. I won't buy my live food anywhere else.

I’ve never personally ordered frogs from there, but I do purchase feeders from them for my bearded dragon. Or at least I used to until this past week. I originally ordered 100 superworms and 25 silk worms. The container of silk worms was completely empty, and the container of superworms only had 30 worms that were alive(if you even want to call it that) and the rest were rotting at the bottom of the container. I will say the customer service lady was kind in trying to make things right. She refunded me for the silk worms since they were out of stock of them. She did send me out a new container of superworms that arrived today. Not one of them were alive, and the container looked and smelled worse than the previous one. I used to order my feeders from them all the time during the years of 2022-2023, until I started buying them from a new local supplier. My local supplier was out of what I needed so I decided to go through Josh’s frogs this time. I’m not sure what changed from then to now, but I have never been more disappointed. Their quality control is non existent, because I don’t understand how they can ship an empty container of 25 silk worms and not see that it’s empty, and with the superworms, you can clearly tell they were all rotting throughout the container.

Bought a canisterfilter. No problem with that so far, but since it was my first time (and last) i also bought a plant to test how they really care about the customer. And as i expected. The plant was only packed in a plastic bag. Sending a plant in the winter without even some papper wrapped around it is so pathetic. The plant Anubias barteri is a tough plant, but not to low temp. So it was ofc dead. If you dont know how to send plants in the winter dont do it.

We have been hunting for a leucitic axolotl for some time and found one in stock at Angel Fish Aquatics on 28-Feb-25 and placed an order. The website is clear and straightforward with useful information. They used DX to deliver the animal which arrived safely and securely packaged on 05-Mar-25 in the middle of the 2 hour timeslot provided. Axel is settling into his/her new home really well. We want to thank everyone for a truly 5* service!

DO NOT USE ABSOLUTE CON ARTISTS!! Fist the viv i purchased came lightly damaged , i over looked this at the time as was small, then i made the mistake of buying the T5pro light from them which came faulty ! I sent this back to them within 2 weeks its now been nearly a month and theyve done nothing but make excuses absolutely shite response rate from customer service , rude and unhelpful like that cant be bothered. If you want to use them i hope you enjoy being ripped off spoken to like shit and genuinely waste your money thats what

My Tortoise Buying Experience Overall, I was satisfied with my tortoise buying experience from tortoismart. They had a nice, easy-to-navigate webpage and lots of tortoises to choose from with helpful descriptions and care info. The ordering process was very simple and I liked the secure payment methods they offer. My tortoise came healthy and well-packaged, with clear instructions for getting it used to his surroundings. They clearly take excellent care of their animals. However, communication during shipping, could have been more proactive—I had to reach out for updates. That said, the customer service team was responsive and resolved my concerns quickly. I would recommend TortoiseMart to anyone looking for a pet tortoise, especially for their variety and commitment to animal welfare.
