They are a total fiasco and I would not recommend this insurance company to my enemy. They are underwritten by Collinson which demanded that I provide all manner of ridiculous information before telling me that I would receive £430 compensation in an email, only to the tell me that I would receive £250. They do everything to pay the least amount and five the impression that they would not pay anything if they can get away with it.

A somewhat comprehensive and sometimes confusing questions and answers sections that is too easy to make mistakes and if not corrected before moving on then there is no way of going back other than to cancel the section and start again. I have mentioned this in a previous survey but nothing has changed. Why not?

Questions easy to follow and answer.
Because I have a medical condition I thought that I would find it difficult to get insurance coverage but Alpha insurance where very thorough and professional and I got the insurance at a very reasonable price.

The reminder to renew and the ease of renewing this policy is the reason I would recommend this company.
The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because I did not receive the documents in an email when I had renewed.
I had to log onto the website to renew them and I do like to save the emails with the documents.

I've used this company for a few years but I think I won't anymore because they don't seem to be able to cover my condition of hyperthyroidism that I started to have after I bought the policy. And this resulted in the policy unable to cover other family members who had no health issues. This is ridiculous because other providers do cover this, and it's not as serious as other conditions.
I recommend not using this company

have used this company for years,i find them reasonably priced & easy to use, but would like an easy breakdown of just basic name address and insurance on paper by post no legal jargon, just to carry with other documents.Never had to make a claim (thankfully)so cant comment on easiness of payments.

I have used Alpha for 5 or 6 years continuously except for during the COVID outbreak. I think it is a great product that provides good value especially for those with pre-existing medical condtions. My only adverse comment and hence why only 4* instead of 5* is trying to update medical conditions and renew using the website. It is not very user friendly and I resorted to renewing by phone as the website 'freezes' whengoing through the 'continue'steps. Otherwise a 5* product but only 2*or 3* website.

Eventually got insured but had to phone after my online quote vanished! They were able to retrieve quote and soon had me sorted.

Good value for money, easy use of website to get a quote. It all looks good, of course the proof of the pudding is what happens when you put a claim in. We have used before & had to claim for a set of keys & they were very helpful and settled the claim quickly. We can only assume the service would be as good on a medical claim.

Absolute scammers. Website is good and "value" is good. However making a claim sucks, which is what you need the company for. My grandmother recently died and I contacted Alpha to make a claim. They were terrible at getting back to me and I needed an answer asap on what I should do to get home. In the end I had to rearrange travel plans and then they finally turned around and said they wouldn't cover me. Avoid like the plague.

As a person with a few medical issues, Alpha insurance have offered a good quote for travel insurance when compared to other supposed unique sites.
Although the online process is long winded with my issues it's OK when you get a good product

Phoned to find out if they covered bird flight we was with a well known company and a bird flew into our plane and we had to turn back and lost 2 days of our holiday decided to phone alpha and they said they would of covered for this so am looking into getting my travel insurance from these guys thankyou for your help

Had difficulty with the on line form I was filling in for a quote so rang up instead. Very helpful agent who went out of his was to assist me and find me suitable covervat a reasonable price. Very pleased with the service.
