Extremely Disappointed with Bosch – Faulty Product and Terrible Customer Service
I am deeply dissatisfied with Bosch, both for the poor quality of their washer-dryer and the appalling service I’ve experienced.
I purchased a Bosch washer-dryer in May 2022 through Ubaldi. The machine developed a fault with the dryer’s heating element in March 2024, while still under warranty. Although the repair was eventually carried out, it was a struggle to get Bosch to take responsibility.
A few months later, the same issue reoccurred, but this time the warranty had expired. I reluctantly scheduled a costly repair appointment for 20 November, with no earlier availability. On the day, I missed the technician’s call at 13:10 by a few minutes, despite being told earlier there were five appointments ahead of mine that day, and my allocated slot was 13:00-18:00, so I didn’t expect to hear them until at least 14:00, given the other 5 appointments. When I called back a few minutes afterwards, I was met with rudeness and told it was my fault. The technician couldn’t return (even though he was likely on another visit still nearby), and the next available appointment was only on 5 December—two weeks later, leaving me without a washing machine for over a month.
On 5 December, I waited for the technician between 8:00 and 13:00 as scheduled, but by noon, the tracking link showed four appointments still ahead. I called customer service, who confirmed the technician was running late and wouldn’t arrive before 14:00—well outside the agreed timeframe. I couldn’t wait due to travel plans, and the next appointment offered was on 6 January! This would mean a total of two months without a working washer-dryer, all for a fault that Bosch failed to repair properly during the warranty period — and for a repair which is going to cost me a lot.
Bosch’s products seem poorly manufactured, with recurring issues just two years after purchase, and their customer service is unhelpful and dismissive. I will avoid Bosch at all costs in the future and recommend others do the same.
