My family and I stayed connected…

My family and I stayed connected throughout our trip to Japan without any issues. I had no trouble communicating with work or family back in Manila. The only minor problem was my daughter having some difficulty using the map inside a building to find a restaurant, but everything else went smoothly. The experience, including setting up the eSIM, was much better than pre-pandemic.

Do not purchase eSIM cards from this…

Do not purchase eSIM cards from this company as it’s a total scam. I bought one when I traveled to China and reception was on zero bars the entire time. As a result my data was on LTE the whole time even though I followed the installation steps and troubleshooting steps. When I requested a refund from the company they just never replied even though I chased them up many times. Purchasing this eSIM was the worst choice I’ve made and should’ve just went with my usual Airalo and it’s far better than these scammers. My family was quite distressed and it made travelling around very difficult without any internet data.

Great experience - first time eSIM user!

This eSIM was very simple and straightforward to install and pay for, and worked great when I was in my destinations. We had a family member who purchased a different eSIM card and had all kinds of issues authenticating and using his.

Worked reliably throughout our Caribbean cruise destinations.

We chose Ubigi to keep us in contact through mobile data throughout our Caribbean cruise just completed. The price was good, but more important for us, it worked in every destination. We will use them again in the future.

A South America success

Initially, I had trouble setting up, but the Ubigi help Center repeatedly answered my inquiries and solved the problem. Ubigi has worked very well for me in two countries in South America.

The hardest part of using Ubigi is…

The hardest part of using Ubigi is trying to determine the quality of the Network prior to buying. It seems that some countries have radically different quality networks. So far, Ubigi works great in the US and Europe. It wasn't that good in New Zealand.

Would purchase again

I purchased the Europe eSIM and it worked great in Portugal and the UK. However, I noticed that when I was in London (UK), my data didn’t work all of the time.

Easy to buy; but clock starts upon purchase

Easy to buy, service worked great in Japan. One down side is that the time period starts on the purchase date; that is, a 7 day sim starts the day you buy it as opposed the first day you activate it. Starting time from first activation would allow advance purchase.

Purchase process was not super…

Purchase process was not super positive. At first I was not able to purchase the eSIM card as the app displayed an error message stating that my phone was locked to a carrier.
Then, usage was good and intuitive but the overall coverage was not great at all.

No problem at all

At first, I had no idea how to change the SIM to the Ubigi's at the country I traveled.
But once I finished the change after connecting to the local WiFi, it was no problem at all.

Simple to use

I was using their services twice now for travelling to Japan and I am satisfied, especially with the responsiveness of the app which has improved a lot through the years. The app should be improved to be a bit more snappier though.

The ubigi coverage in Bali is bad

The ubigi coverage in Bali is bad, most of the time the network doesn't connect and when it does it's slow and doesn't load much of anything. I used less than 1G of my 10G in a week. I wanted to hot spot my own internet when working for security reasons but it's so bad that Im just using wifi of the cafes, there is good wifi almost every place in Bali so Ubigi is the last thing you want or need.

Worked like a charm in Japan!

Worked like a charm in Japan, and setup/topping up for more data was easy!

One key thing is, and should be common sense, is do not forget your password! If you have an iPhone and Face ID set up on the app, and used the app to buy data plans, this shouldn’t be an issue. I forgot mine, and used the site to set up my first data plan. I never received an email reset password, but used a backup email to create a new account.

Ok would have been good to know if I…

Ok would have been good to know if I load the app I can track my data usage as I ran out in France and there was no feedback that I had run out. Some autoresponder would have been useful to let me know then redirect me to the app to renew it
