I think this company is a SCAM

CustomPC.ie never delivered the router I bought and paid for.

When I wrote to CustomPC.ie I never recieved a reply.

I wrote to my bank seeking a refund (chargeback) because the merchant had not delivered what I purchased.

The bank wrote back saying the merchant (CustomPC) contested my request for a chargeback.

If this isn't a scam then what is it?

Scammed Me

i ordered a CPU on the 24th of September they still havent sent it out a month later, terrible customer support with fake reviews, refusing to respond to emails regarding refund, changed whole site to say they dont sell components anymore and changed all legal info trying to rebrand.

Never Ever buy from these scammers, overpriced PCs as well.

Trust Big Sites and Brands they ship faster and more reliable than these liars.

We notified all customers from the 30th of April 2024 that we would no longer offer compoentns of accessories for sale after the 30th of September 2024. This information was shown on our product , home and checkout pages for 4+ months. This decision was made in consultation with the 25,000+ customers who have purchased custom desktop pcs , laptops , servers ad workstations from us. It was not possible for us to continue this service as it was only ever intended as a short term service back in 2021 to help customer due to not being able to purchase from component suppliers in the UK. In the last 7 days of September we received 20+ times the normal amount of orders which did create issues given the service was ending on the last day of the month. If the order could not be processed it can cancelled and the payment refunded or voided. Your order number does not correspond to the information in your review.

Nearly at the top level

Really great to have and Irish business for us to use. There is 2 cons, speed and pricing. Pricing is a little bit over the top but accepting credit facilities means excess charges and naturally going to cause a price increase but some components are €800 above RRP. Processing, dispatch and delivery speeds leave a lot to be desired especially considering it was a domestic order.
All in all the team deserve the business but I think they are two areas that definitely could improve, however it won’t stop me from shopping here again. Thanks lads

We have been providing components at almost cost price as a service to our customers since January 2021 so it would be highly unlikely to have an item listed at €800 above the RRP considering the pricing is set by the vendor and not ourselves. Thank you for your order and I am sorry we did not live up to your expectations but please understand that component sales was only ever intended as a short term service and we had allowed it to go on for more than 3 years which was creating issues for our many loyal customers who rely on us for custom pcs , laptops ,servers and workstions. This was the reason we decided to stop allowing the sale of components and accories on our websites form the 30th of September 2024. We have done our upmost to provide a level of service to component and accessory customers however it wa not possible to provide the necessary level of service as 11% of our sales created 82% of our support ticket and this service was being supported by us financally since 2021. It is not possible to supply components in Ireland quick even if we could supply at low prices as the stock must be held on the continent based on the Irish market being tiny in comparison to the German or even Italian markets. We have always tried to find a balance but due to the effects of component and accessory sales on our core business and customers regards pcs , laptops and workstation we have stopped selling components and accessories. Thank you for your custom and I hope we can assist you in the future. There is a notice below not related to your review but it will give you an idea of why we have stopped the sale of accessories. If you need a recomendation on a component supplier who ships to Ireland please contact our sales team. I do however not think any large component suppliers in Germany for example could ship to Ireland as we did but companies like CONRAD.COM for example are very good and they specialist in component sales. Avoid this and refer to a computer…

Avoid this and refer to a computer technician/ specialist for a proper build. If you pick components that do not work together they will still fit them and flush that setup for a price well higher than it is worth. People keep having issues with their stations and the customer care. It says 'to your specifications' so if you have no idea what you are doing, they will use this to cover their house and blame you... because you wanted it this way instead of coming back to you with an advice as to what alter in your order to make your machine work properly. Hugely overpriced components and an army of unhappy customers.

Regret.

So, two months have passed since the purchase of the products and to this day I still have no response about the Case I purchased. They don't respond to my tickets, nobody gives me any information about when they will send my product, I honestly really regret buying from this store. To make matters worse, I'm trying to access the website to send more messages but apparently I lost access, I can't login or recover the password. Did they ban me?

We ceased selling components and accessories on the 30th of September 2024. We provided notice of this decision from the 30th of April 2024 with a notice on the home , product and checkout pages. All orders that we could not provide by the 30th of September were cancelled and refunded. Your order number however is not related to an order with any outstanding products. Please use the help desk of the email and you will always get a reply from our support staff. Only accounts were a custom laptop , desktop pc , workstation or server can now access their account again this was notified to customers as we asked them to download any invoices before the 30th of September however any past document can be requested and it will be emailed once the email corresponds to the original order. If the email address has changed we will require information and proof of identity before we can send documents.

Radio silence from CustomPC on status of order.

I so regret not researching this company before I made my order... I ordered a small off-the-shelf electronics product. This means they simply take it off the shelf, pack it, and dispatch it.

I chose this company as they are based in Ireland, supposedly had it in stock (I question this now), and could get a courier delivery (~€10 for DPD).

I paid for the item, then crickets so far... 8 days later. No response from their customer service despite several attempts. I also whatsapp'd the number listed on Trustpilot - nothing. They are obviously not interested in repeat customers.

I make dozens of similar orders from other businesses and usually get my package the next day, or two.

Update: The package arrived via An Post on 26th Sep, 10 days after making the order. No updates from customer service.

DO NOT USE

DO NOT USE. Also trade under gameforce.ie or Ares core technologies limited. Located in Unit C9 enterprise business park Carlow.
Company name is “Custom computer and technologies limited”
I ordered a laptop in August. With absolutely no follow up from custompc. I eventually cancelled the order due to radio silence and now they are apparently gone into liquidation. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Product not delivered and no contact back from seller

I placed an order a few weeks ago. Got an order number and an invoice and haven't heard anything back. I attempted multiple times to contact custompc using the avialble methods of a webform and sales email and I have not heard anything back.

Used this company for the first time recently. Item never arrived. Weeks of chasing a refund and my messages not even acknowledged. No phone number on their website. Now seeking a refund via the credit card company whoch will take weeks. Horrible experience and wish I never used them. Avoid avoid avoid

Really poor customer service

It's now 10 days since I placed my order for a laptop bag which was shown as in stock at that time, this item has yet to arrive. Despite paying an additional fee for the item to be delivered via courier and contacting the company for an update or expected delivery date, I have had no response. The level of customer service is non existent. I will now be raising this through my credit card provider as a complaint.

No Updates

Was told it would take 7-10 days for PC to be built, not surprised at all they didn’t follow through with their word, Haven’t gotten updates, emails or anything actually insane, who knows maybe it’ll magically show up today but highly doubt it. Disappointing.

The stated delivery timeframe for custom pcs is an estimate only and can changed based for example on the complexity of the build. We do our best to build , test and ship custom pcs as quickly as possible however we will never compromise the testing process which affects quality to ship faster. I do apologise for the delay but please understand that we must adhere to our quality control procedures even if this delays an order. We do however always send email updates and you can also view updates and notes from our technician and support staff by logging into your account

Great customer service

Easy to use website, quick build and delivery (just over week total). They didn't have two of the parts I ordered and I got a call same day to say they would upgrade those to higher performance parts they had in stock at no extra cost, which was very nice of them. There were also a couple of extra treats in the box.

Responsive and transparent

Purchased a top tier gaming PC and I have to say I was very happy with my experience. Each time I had a question they responded within a reasonable timeframe max reply took 48hrs due to a weekend. Once dispatched I was giving tracking number and received my PC within 24hrs. I do recommend them given my positive experience knowing some bad reviews however I assume those bad reviews are due to lack of patience. From time of purchase to dispatch it took 10 working days which I was following up with them daily and getting replies to my questions.

Thank you for your review. Unfortunately negative reviews generally relate to component sales and unrealistic expectations which is one of the main reasons we are considering ending component sales. We provide this as a service given our business is building PCs however negative reviews from home pc builders can confuse our main customers who know us as the best pc builders in Ireland.

Very happy with the gaming entry level…

Very happy with the gaming entry level PC I bought for my daughter she is over the moon and I liked that they had put a company pen and a pack of Haribo also came with all the booklets for the different components. I wasn't expecting a light up keyboard and mouse so my daughter is very happy with it.... I recommend custom PC highly

I am delighted with my new Ryzen 7…

I am delighted with my new Ryzen 7 gaming PC. CustomPC were very helpful in reconfigure my system because of the choice of components I picked. They ran me and offered to upgrade a couple of parts to improve my performance. I would encourage anyone who wants a gaming PC to buy it from CustomPC.ie.

Ordered a custom PC off them that came…

Ordered a custom PC off them that came today.
Would highly recommend ordering from them.

They were unable to source the motherboard and case but the alternative they have offered is even better, they even added in a few free bits.

There support and sales staff kept me updated throughout the process.
