Todd Eldredge is not Responsive

I have been with Farmers for 2 decades; thought Todd Eldredge was great when I first met him--very helpful and very responsive. now that it's 20 years later, he returns calls less and less in the last 5 years.
The rare time I have called, he's taken a week or more to respond. It's been a few years, but I reached out in the last few months. It is really disappointing that he hasn't returned a call since November. It's now the end of February. I call the office, and his staff tells me I have to talk to him. They leave a message. I call him. He doesn't call back. It's not only unprofessional, but troublesome, because as luck would have it my car broke down yesterday, a friday while out of town and I NEED him I called the 800# and they told me, for my situation I need to call my agent. I do, and it's now saturday, and he has not returned my call still. I'm getting the runaround on Farmers 800#, and it's so frustrating. The stonewalling is crazymaking. After 2 decades, I will be changing companies. I was easy business for farmer's--2 decades, and would've stayed for life, if FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, Todd would have responded--any of the 4 times I reached out to follow up in 3 months. I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt; he's dealing with something, he's ill, he's ??? but when I call the office and they try to see if they can answer the question, but then realize I guess, they don't know that detail of the policy and let me know that it's a question for Todd, but that he's out of the office, but they will text him --that let's me know that likely, all is well. #heistheworst #ghostingfromanagentyouhavehad20yearsandnevercalloruse

I would like to give Lauren Brog*** a massive kudos. I called to pay my life ins and there was a pretty big issue with my policy. She was able to partner with a supervisor to get it fixed. Thank you for offering to see if you could figure something out. I appreciate all of your efforts to help me.

Want to step back in time 30 years?

I joined because I work for a company that does payroll deductions through them. They do business like they are in 1995. I'm not sure what the qualifications for working there are, but I'm pretty sure sleeping with your brother is one of them. Because their cognitive abilities mirror that of the inbred. I'm honestly surprised when they actually perform a task correctly, because at this point I just expect them to screw up everything they touch, as if they have the opposite of the midas touch. Everything they touch just turns to crap. It's literally almost laughable how incompetent these imbecils are.

Our car was totaled by their client who ran a red light. They only allowed 5 days for a rental, one day was Sunday when dealerships are closed. The also offered up a settlement well below comps I pulled up. We called their agent 3 tiles over 4 days and he never called back. Finally another agent called and disputed what a previous rep told us and disallowed reimbursement for 1 item.

If you’re in a wreck I hope you don’t have to deal with Farmers. Very stressful and inconvenient outcome!

They don't bother fighting for your insurance claim.

Got into a car accident a couple of weeks back, insurance claims adjustor is adamant on it being my fault when it's a he said she said situation. The other party has no proof that I was at fault, nor do I have any proof that they were the ones hitting my car. It was solely based on the damages to our cars and nothing else. They don't even bother trying to fight for your case, they just want to increase your premium for seemingly no reason.

We insure three cars and two motorbikes…

We insure three cars and two motorbikes over Farmers.
We kept on getting letters that the premium increased. When I called and asked why (for a Mercedes Metris, definitely not a car driven a lot), it was impossible to get an answer. One agent said the premium would have been increased since the state rate increased, another agent due to the driving record of one of my children.
We went along and paid up, the increase was by more than 50%, for one of the cars it doubled from 1200 to 2400 per year.
In addition I had terminated one motorcycle. But Farmers kept on deducting the money for the policy. I called once, after waiting for over an hour I spoke to an agent, who assured me the money would go back to my account. Next time Farmers charged for our policy no money had been refunded in any way, shape or form.
I called again and again waited for over an hour, and despite speaking to a "manager" whatever that means, the incompetence went on, I still don't have my money back.

Now we got a letter that they terminated our policy come September due to the driving record of one of my children. The service level is so poor, it's just not worth the effort dealing with them. Ever since Farmers acquired MetLife it's become the worst insurance in 3 countries.

They think they're the customer not you

I was with another insurer for 3 years. They provided excellent service. The only issue I had was that they were more expensive.

A salesperson convinced me to switch to Metlife/Farmers. Big mistake. Signing up with them took HOURS. They sent me the wrong forms several times. They sent constant updates and requests for information I had sent them previously.

I spent so much time working to sign up with them, at my billable freelance hourly rate, I would have been better off staying where I was.

To make things worse, their inspector made a federal case out of some chipping stucco and peeling paint on our 60-year-old home. We're in the process of a remodel to address these issues but the threatening emails and exaggerated language (peeling paint can injure someone) is uncalled for.

The language in the letter is also confusing. In one place it says I have 30 days to repair the issues. In another, it says I have until 1 year from the new policy, in yet another section of the same letter it says "90 days before the policy renewal."

I spent over an hour and a half on the phone with CSRs that interrupt, don't listen, and not one person from the underwriting department would speak to me.

So here's news for you Farmers, when my policy is up for renewal, it will most likely be me that cancels you not the other way around.
