Travel Insurance policies can be very complex and difficult to unravel (and sometimes made deliberately so by the Insurers so they can have multiple opt-outs at crunch time). But the GetCover policy on the whole was fairly transparent and easy to understand, and the finer points were explained to me by the Agent I spoke with to get some clarity

That I wasn't made to feel like Methuselah just because I'm 73 and that I could be covered for a long stay. It's amazing how other insurers made me think, y'know at my age I'd be high risk,I might pop my clogs while away ! and it might be best if I only stayed away for 31 days max. Rang company, spoke with a very helpful person, he transferred me to medical group. They went through anything needed to know. Gave me ref. Number, rang main office next day and purchase of travel insurance was completed.

David that I contacted brought me through the insurance process bit by bit and was throughly professional in comparison to the other companies I contacted. Felt I got a throughly personal touch from s professional at the other end of the phone who knew exactly what I wanted . Highly recommend.

Being able to speak to a very helpful person who was able to advise me of the best option for me and also able to co ordinate medical screening in one phone call although my quote was expired when i called back i spoke with the same 2 gentlemen nothing had changed and policy done in probably 10mins email recieved but there was no problem getting a paper copy and price very good

Took out insurance for a recent cruise, this included 2 missed ports due to inclement weather.
I started the claim the day after I returned home.
Within 2 weeks the claim was settled and money deposited into account.
Email and phone correspondence was excellent. Would definitely use again.

Getcover and Mayday travel claims have been amazing after I got covid within a week of going on a 2 week Mediterranean cruise from the customer service to the claims department they answered promptly to my emails and phone calls . I was reimbursed my money even before the cruise would have ended . I thought it would take months . Well done I can now rebook my long awaited cruise

We had a possible Covid positive before we left. Contacted ins. Cover we had gave me assurance in case the worst came to the worst .thankfully got all clear so we were able to travel

I'm now being asked some 2 years later to remove my review of the appalling service I recieved, as are other users from the looks of trust pilot. The company are citing they don't sell insurance to the UK. My original post was made on trust pilot directly from the website I used, If a change in the business means there are now 2 seperate sites that isn't my issue. I will certainly not be removing any reviews unless asked to do so by Trust pilot.
