Phonebox seivice is such bad.First it always takes too long time to connect with the represititve .Second ,finally when you connect with them ,the connection lost without reason and they never call you back .Thirdly they promised to call me back or send me email to solve my problem ,they never did.

Had issues with my sim card and new phone number when setting up. Sakura at the Vancouver store was an incredible help to me and spent hours trying to resolve the issue. 5 stars to her excellent customer service!

Over $163.00 was charged to my credit card when I have a $25.00+tax plan, call customer service,took longer than expected time to be answered by a representative named Chris, she checked and said the additional $163.00 was due to cellular data over used, when Enron the plan,no disclaimer indicating that $15.00 per G data will be charged for over using, she also confirmed that she will ask her manager to refund me the charges and let me wait for her call, than never hear back, I have never over use data prior Phonebox,even though other service providers like Fido provide less data , if this is a company can be trusted? Or if it’s a real company?

I opted for a Phonebox eSim for our trip to Canada as I wanted to be able to make local calls while there as well as using data. They provided me with a local number which was extremely useful for people getting in touch locally and I was free to make as many calls to hotels, tours etc. as I wished. I opted for 1 week at CAD$19.95 and then extended for a second week. Everything was seamless once I had figured out how to activate the eSim - very easy actually and Phonebox responded to questions patiently and promptly. Would definitely use again.

we are twins from India we were facing many issue with our phone but the lady who is working in phone box( downtown vancouver) helped us a lot...She is really very kind hearted and humble to us..It was thursday and they used to close the shop at 6:30 but due to some issue with us regarding internet she closed the shop after 9:00....Really appriciatable.

Do not expect any customer service. I bought a prepaid card for my daughter doing an exchange programme in the US. She losts her phone and it had been impossible to get any customer support to simply deliver a new Sim card. They just take the money and offer no support.

I'm New to Phonebox, and am currently not sure what to expect. All the reviews on here are in broken English, so I'm skeptical of if they are even real. I just heard about Phonebox last week, and decided to try it out for a month come Jan 2. I will update this after a month to give an honest review for ANYONE looking for an English speaking resident of Canada (not being judgmental, but sometimes, its nice to see reviews from people who are local-ish to the service company)

I bought my E-sim in advance of my trip from the UK to Canada, and set it to begin the day before we travelled (so I could recurved the emails and QR code for the service in good time). Was able to install the E-sim the day before and change the settings in my phone which meant that as we touched down everything sprang into action.
Was great to have the peace of mind, knowing my home phone package wasn’t being used (which would have cost me a lot more).
I contacted Phonebox a few times with questions, before our trip, and each time they responded quickly and were most helpful.
The app was useful too, giving insight into usage. Would recommend.

Purchased my sim card in good time for my trip to Canada. Received my Canadian number the day I travelled out, fitted the card to my 2nd sim slot and turned on my phone at the airport in Toronto, everything worked well and couldn't fault the service.
Very pleased, would definitely use again and recommend.

Kumiko is the best shop clerk. She is really kind and her explanation is easy for me to understand. She knows many things about how to use eSIM and what the advantages are like that. She could understand all my questions and answer them.

I travelled to US paying to phonebox for US number. I wanted to extend my service accidentally clicking to wrong icon. They charged the service and despite the fact I immediatelly requested to cancel the service they have not refunded me anything. Service was cancelled butr money not received so far (3 weeks time). Communication with PhoneBox US is terrible not answering to the phone or email.

Kumiko, IIRC treated my nicely and guided me through registering a new sim plan, and the plan itself is way better than the big 3, highly recommended.

This is the most Hopeless and unprofessional company that uses Telus network. They have poor connectivity. I have requested to Port out my phone number and It's been 4 days now, they are not providing me with Account number. Raising issues with them is useless. Cannot even reach out to Telus. It's a pure rip off by them. Please don't go for their services. It's a money waste.

Bought a PhoneBox sim for a trip to Canada as roaming charges are unreasonably expensive. It arrived promptly and worked perfectly on arrival. Extended it while I was there - again it all just worked. By far the best value pre-paid sim for a trip to Canada.

My original plan with Phonebox was through Rogers. I was asked if I would like to switch plans for a lower cost. I declined this offer. Recently, however, I was told that I had to switch plans and that my new provider would be Telus and that my cell service would not suffer. I went ahead and switched and received my new Sim card, installed it and now no I have no service. What gives?

If I can rate zero will do it! I’ve been waiting my account number for transfer out to another carrier over 2wks now! Every time I called or emailed customer service, Rep just simply requested again with no f/u. Bc they prolonged delay I am unable to transfer my phone to better plan. Even no data on my phone now. Really bad experience never had before! Everyone pls don’t touch this irresponsible small company!
