Terrible company, avoid at all cost.
We have just bought a business property which happened to complete on the same day PE cut the power off to the building. I am told this was due to none payment of a bill by a previous tenant of the previous owner, which is fair enough. However, they now will not turn it back on and just keep telling me there is a large debt outstanding and it needs paying first. However, this is nothing to do with me or my company, which the customer service staff acknowledge but they then cant or wont do anything to resolve the matter.
Our solicitor has sent them a copy of the purchase agreement to prove the change in ownership, we have also sent photos of the meters and new bank details etc. The power has been of 3 days now and we have had to delay the office refit and network refit as there is no power for them to operate or test anything. We are supposed to have 15 staff moving in next week to work from there, but not possible without power!
I have now had to threaten legal action if it is not restored in order to recover the cost to our business of not being able to trade if this continues.
This company is a joke and needs to be shut down by the Ofgem.

I've experienced significant issues with this energy provider. For months, they have ignored my accurate meter readings and continued to bill me based on estimates, resulting in overcharges. Despite numerous attempts to resolve this, including phone calls and emails, the problem persists. Their customer service is unhelpful and ineffective. I strongly advise looking elsewhere for your energy needs
good customer service, well behaved staff members helped a lot thanks Bharat Ghoshan and Chinu
Worst company ever AVOID at all cost
Absolute shambles, we are a small salon and being charged ridiculous amounts on estimates, when we have sent meter readings.
Now with the ombudsman to help, one of our bills came out at £49000 for a month. Now that is laughable.
Very unhelpful 0 customer service 🙄 now stuck in a contract until the end of this year.

A change of tenancy
A change of tenancy, and they are passing me around different agents, kalpana.sharma has never replied, after 4 emails. nidhi.goyal is now also ignoring my emails, and now from all these reviews I can see this is how Positive energy treats everybody.

Shit house of a company
Shit house of a company. We struggled paying the high bill that came through from higher then normal usage from our tenants. putting us in serious difficulty. I called them up to set up a payment plan and saying what we can afford to get the rude chap say no and demanded more or they would cut the power off to the tenants telling me that it will be my fault.
I asked him to escalate it to a court matter or to a debt collector as he was so in reasonable and he refused and point black said he’s cutting the power off. Very rude and disgusting company. Oh and if you want to talk to anyone you have to spend 30mins on hold.
On another matter they tried to over charge us £3500 for gas we didn’t use.
In the end they agreed it was a mistake and then charged it again with threatening emails. Again we had to prove it was incorrect to barley get and apology.
You can’t even talk to someone in this country.
Shocking service.
If I could do -5 stars I would
If you’re thinking about going with this company don’t.
Octopus energy is way better! As soon as my contract is up im leaving these idiots!

They Make Issues and Don't Resolve Them
The worst energy company I have ever dealt with. Their engineer took an incorrect meter reading at the start of our contract, resulting in a very high bill. Luckily I had photographic evidence of what the meter reading should be and submitted that alongside my query. It still took months of back and forth arguing my case with them. They agreed that their meter reading was wrong, but were insistent that they weren't going to return the money or credit our account! I was shocked at this initial refusal as it was very clear what had happened, I provided evidence and yet they were happy to just charge me for electricity I hadn't used. This did eventually get resolved, but took a huge amount of time and energy on my part for what I deem to be a simple to rectify error.
Their call centre staff are polite and friendly, but I believe are based abroad, so they don't always understand what you are asking. Their job is also to just pass your queries on to another department, who sadly couldn't care less whether they resolve your issue or even bother to reply in a timely manner.
They have a query submission portal, but they do not seem to understand what you are asking them and it seems that they just aim to reply (I'm guessing to hit targets), whether their reply is relevant to your query or not and then close your query, even if it is not resolved. This is extremely frustrating.
They have now (over a year later) taken a seemingly random payment from our bank account, and there is no corresponding invoice for this payment. I submitted a query with them and again, they have sent a reply that does not answer my query at all- it is a random reply that is not relevant to my question. (They replied with a document that's not relevant to the money taken and basically said that I should work it out for myself!). They have said that they now consider my query resolved and have closed the query, so I have to resubmit the query again if I want a chance of getting my money back.
At this point, I feel that this company just charges customers what they like, when they like and delays giving any money back, probably to support their company cash flow during difficult times. I am very suspicious of this company and will be glad to see the back of them (I just hope they recognise the notice I will be giving them to leave once our contract ends, but looking at other reviews, I am sceptical).

Stay clear of this company!!!
Stay clear of this company!!!
Ive been trying to close my account with them and I keep getting sent round in circles. Customer service are appalling and don't seem to know what they need. Sent me an estimated bill way higher than the actual and when requested the real bill they added a late charge on to it. Stay away or lose money.

STAY WELL CLEAR
STAY WELL CLEAR!
I have been attempting to close my account for almost 12 months, but keep being obstructed. The cycle for 12 months has been; they send an estimated extortionate bill, I provide an actual meter reading, they send another extortionate inaccurate estimated bill and the cycle continues.
Still no resolution even after a complaint to the ombudsman. Now 12 months in they are attempting to charge for 365 days of standing charge at £1.50 even though we requested to close the account in Spring 2024.
Never write reviews but feel I have to warn others to not use this company. AVOID!

If there was zero stars to give this…
If there was zero stars to give this company I would have but this provider is not even worth 1 start
FOR ANYONE THINKING OF USING POSITIVE ENERGY AS A PROVIDER PLEASE PLEASE KEEP AWAY.
This provider was ending me estimated bill for almost a year and even knowing well they have been provided metre readings
The estimates where upto £24,000 for both gas and electric on a empty property
While on holiday they cut off my electric and demanded full payment
I had no choice to involve the ombudsman to resolve the matter which was decided in my favour and the accurate bill was around £4000 for gas and electric and upon settling the case
Iam now trying to move provider and now receiving further estimated bills
This company is literally run by a bunch of cowboys, even the chaps who connected the electric gave bad feedback on positive energy
PLEASE KEEP AWAY

The worst energy company ever dealt…
The worst energy company ever dealt with. I am a landlord and have dealt with most energy suppliers over the course of my career but these guys at Pozitive Energy are the most unprofessional and awful company I’ve ever come across. A tenant left arrears and they refused to acknowledge that the debt was not mine despite my never having setup an account with them and they have decided to try and pass on the debt to me. They then illegally switched off the electricity to a residential block resulting in our building being temporarily without fire alarms and once I’d found out it was them they forced me to pay £1,200 to switch it back on remotely. They’re using untrained and unethical overseas call centres to operate the business and are entirely unhelpful and acting illegally.
This matter still remains unresolved despite my having to provide ownership information and written proof that the previous occupant’s lease has been dissolved. I’ve also complained to their CEO who still hasn’t responded in person and so if you’re thinking of using an energy supplier lol ease save yourself the illegal, unethical and unnecessary stress that these guys so called ‘service’ will offer.

Can we give a zero
Can we give a zero? This shower has left occupants in a block of flats with no lighting on stairs, no lift (heaven help anyone who was in it when they pulled the plug), unsecured front door and no alarm systems. Vulnerable people in these flats. I believe this is illegal.

I am trapped with my small restaurant gas and electricity supply. It have trapped me. I wanted to leave few months before contract expiring they ask me to pay 3800£ administration fees. As contract ends started giving me very high monthly bills and then stopping my move to another cheap deals. Then they charging 500/600 bill to 2500£ per month now I am in debt and can’t move. I don’t know what to do. If anyone knows a good solicitor please give me contact number.

Modern day thieves it has to be a criminal operation
Absolute scammers! I signed up for a 4 year contract, within the first year I completed a huge renovation on the property which included disconnecting the gas for 6 months, in these months I was being charged up to £500 per month as an estimated rate, at this time I was trying to move to a new supplier as my bills were never consistent always from £50 to over £500. I tried to leave again 6 months ago and I constantly get told they will send me an early termination fee but I never receive them. In the last 3 months my gas bill alone has gone from £200 per month to over £1300 per month with no explanation, I have been on the phone endlessly trying to resolve this, one person says its estimated and the next says its from the meter I constantly get cut off and have to restart the complaint process. I have told them my business now has to leave the premises as I can not afford to pay these bills but they will not release the meter to the new tenants unless I give them the details of the new tenant, the building is also being sold to a new landlord and they demand the name and contact details of the new landlord, due to GDPR this is illegal for me to pass on but until I do they will not release me from the agreements and continue to charge me almost £70 per day gas, I have asked to end the contract and they will not allow this and I refuse to my bills until they resolve the increase of my gas bill alone alone by £1100 per month, this morning I received debt collector letters and a threat to disconnect my building at further costs. None of the complaints have been resolved as they are still sending me bills of £480 for 8 days of gas when my business was closed over the Christmas period with added £60 each month with no explaination for what it is for. I installed a brand new low energy boiler and it runs for a maximum of 5 hours per day during the cold season, its a small yoga studio and now I have to close and I am unable to pass on the meter to the next tenant. My landlord, myself and the new tenants are being forced to lose money by this company. They are criminal outfit and breaking the law in so many ways, companies like this should not be allowed to hold people and businesses to ransom, I do not have an answer what I can do next unless I settle a bill of over £4000 for gas alone since November. I will be contacting the ombudsman and Ofcom today and I hope I see this scum of a company in court one day. Do not touch this company.

The worst energy company ever (minus stars!)
I know energy companies have a bad rap, but this one is beyond terrible. I can not begin to explain how frustrating their processes are. I have been debating 10 quid with them for 3 months. They blocked my transfer to another energy supplier, then I chased and hassled them, it took 2 weeks to get them to release my gas service, and in that 2 weeks, they billed me 2 x paper bill charges and standing charges = 10 quid, for nothing! the gas was off, the flat was empty. They need reporting to Ofgem / Ombudsman.
The customer service is based in India. There is never a good phone connection (even in central London), and customer service have no authority to take actions or solve problems, they just log tickets, then you get an email back 2 weeks later with a response "computer says no". It is infuriating. I've spent more than 4hrs on the phone to them, and I know 10 quid is not worth that time, but out of principle I refuse to allow them to put unpaid bills against my name!

The biggest rip off company i have ever come across. They get you to sign up and then within a month change my FIXED fees to double, then tell me its in the small print that prices may vary. I regret from the day i signed up with them and cant wait to finish the contract. This company should be looked into by the government as what they do should be illegal.
