Misleading product/charges and Uncouth customer service
After searching through MANY star registries/vendors, we decided to go with your company for a very important 70th bday gift, and to commemorate the tragic loss of our daughter/sister..
Although we realize no registry can legitimately claim full ownership of any star, we decided to proceed as a symbolic gesture and paid for the Binary Gift pack. We also paid supplement for what we thought was a printed photo of the Star to frame...the "Starmap" was suggested for this.
The company sent an 8.5x11 B&W print out for this $9.95 charge, which was NOT what we expected! This is not clear on the site - and it is a ludicrous to charge for such an item, when the full order was over $230!
It is ever further lack of ethical and professional service that the customer service team has responded to my inquiry for simple refund of the $9.95 with the stipulation that I must first "return the item in same condition" to their depot.
It is an 8.5x11 black & white piece of paper!!
They have wasted my, and their company time, with continued emails back and forth, rather than ensuring a satisfied customer.
If this was not to commemorate someone's tragic loss, I would return the whole package for full refund.
NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE especially when this kind of expense is symbolic...they cannot tangibly name a star for anyone!
I have asked for manager to handle and have yet to receive any response days later.
