Tangerine Telecommunications: This is NOT okay!
Over a YEAR ago, I upgraded to FTTP with Tangerine Telecommunications. I trusted their process and their team to manage this change, as any customer would. But instead of doing the right thing, they continued to charge me for my old service—without any notice, without any accountability.
When I caught the error and contacted them, I was initially promised a $1200 refund for the money they wrongly took from me. Relief, right? WRONG. Suddenly, that promise was revoked. Now, they’ve decided my time, money, and trust are worth just $200 in future bill credits. To add insult to injury, they’re blaming me for not canceling the old service—something that should have been part of the upgrade process when I called to make the change.
This isn’t just frustrating—it’s outright unethical and very likely illegal.
Why should loyal customers be punished for trusting a company to manage their services properly? How many others have been quietly overcharged without realizing it? Tangerine, this behavior is NOT acceptable. I am taking this further, and I urge others to check your bills and speak out if you’ve experienced anything similar.
We deserve better. Customers deserve fairness, transparency, and respect. Tangerine, it’s time to take responsibility.
