Would not recommend

Awful experience so far Ordered nbn250 package 2 weeks ago and still have not been connected despite multiple calls in that time. They said last week they would follow up with NBNCo but when I called today it was clear that they had not done so and made the same promise.

spend the extra $10 a month and go with a legit company.

I canceled and they kept billing me.

5g data was often quite slow and uploads even more so. After changing to a different provider I was then charged for an entire month that I didn’t use. The service was still cut off but I was still charged.

Do not go with this company

Do not go with this company. Their speedy 250mb internet pings at 40ms at best and when calling their technical team, they blame NBN connection and ask for you to wait it out, all well knowing its just their service.

They bill on the 15th of each month and charge on the 1st (2 weeks into the month). Then if you decide to cancel, it says in their “Policy” that there is a payment of 1 month that needs to be made and the service also gets cancelled immediately. (PS - if you want to not pay the 1 month when cancelling, do it on the 14th of the month). Good luck for all those who want slum it with this provider.

Tangerine TANGARINE is dodgy

Tangerine TANGARINE is dodgy, stay away from this company, there resent privacy breach has opened all their customers to scammers with there own financial institutes, TANGARINE will deny this as they do everything, nbn continually drops out and u call them to be told it’s not them it’s your router that they have provided, also they will inform u that they will reset it and guess what it works again for a hour or two, bit coincidental if u ask me, are tangarine working with the scammers? Since there scamming us of a poor service and a useless nbn provider

Dishonest company

I wouldn’t recommend Tangerine to my worst enemy . It took seven weeks to connect NBN at my property (including a no show appointment that I asked Tangerine to follow up on NBN and never received a response). Now I received an internet bill for the weeks I was waiting on NBN and had no internet ! Absolutely ridiculous ! And they told me I would only start paying after the internet was connected

Double charges + slower speeds than what I've paid for

Dodgy practices. After requesting an upgrade to FTTN I started getting charged for 2 internet accounts at the same address. I only picked this up 5 months later. When I disputed the double charges they told me that they need to "verify with the sales agent" that I requested for them to cancel the old account. They are now offering me a credit of $120 when I've been over charged by $415.

As a side note, I've been paying for 50mb/s internet speed and have averaged between 10mb/s and 20mb/s (top 30mb/s). Dropouts are also quite common.

I'll be looking for a better service.

Tangerine Telecommunications

Tangerine Telecommunications: This is NOT okay!

Over a YEAR ago, I upgraded to FTTP with Tangerine Telecommunications. I trusted their process and their team to manage this change, as any customer would. But instead of doing the right thing, they continued to charge me for my old service—without any notice, without any accountability.

When I caught the error and contacted them, I was initially promised a $1200 refund for the money they wrongly took from me. Relief, right? WRONG. Suddenly, that promise was revoked. Now, they’ve decided my time, money, and trust are worth just $200 in future bill credits. To add insult to injury, they’re blaming me for not canceling the old service—something that should have been part of the upgrade process when I called to make the change.

This isn’t just frustrating—it’s outright unethical and very likely illegal.

Why should loyal customers be punished for trusting a company to manage their services properly? How many others have been quietly overcharged without realizing it? Tangerine, this behavior is NOT acceptable. I am taking this further, and I urge others to check your bills and speak out if you’ve experienced anything similar.

We deserve better. Customers deserve fairness, transparency, and respect. Tangerine, it’s time to take responsibility.

When I moved interstate

When I moved interstate, I used the self service Tangerine portal to relocate from Sydney to Gold Coast. I have been charged the last 5 months for both addresses.
I got an email saying my original address will be cancelled in Feb, 7 mths after moving. I rang and made it clear I wanted to cancel and relocate now, not in 7mths. They ‘relocated’ but didn’t cancel the old address. Apparently they are two separate things. Doesn’t relocate mean take from one place to a separate, different place? Not duplicate.

not too impressed

not too impressed. The service was fine but I did notice price rises quite soon after I was signed up. Be careful when you move to another company. They make it sound like there are no fees as long as you let them know before the new month period but actually you have to let them know before they generate the bill which is a date you don't actually know, So leaving this company cost me $100 even though I let them know before the new month started. Left me with a nasty feeling. Amaysim seem like a nicer company and much better value:)

Disgraceful

Disgraceful - The absolute worst internet/NBN provider I have ever dealt with. The Netcomm modem they sold with the package was faulty from the outset and their customer technical support team are completely incompetent and were unable to diagnose it. Their internet speeds never met with the package sold. There service was so poor I elected to change providers after the 6 months deal.They later conceded the modem was faulty 9 months after purchase, however refused to refund the cost the modem. Our entire house hold has been impacted the NBN connection it has been a night mare. My son often works from home however due to internet drops outs has not been able to. A disgraceful and fraudulent company who should not have a NBN providers accreditation in Australia.

Worst internet provider in Australia.

Worst internet provider in Australia.
I have an existing NBN and an original modem then I chose them as my WIFI provider. But it failed to connect to my BYO modem, I called them 5 times a week but it couldn't be fixed they kept saying it was my modem issues. Then I changed one modem which cost me $500 but it still failed to connect. Then I decided to change providers in 10 mins I connected to another provider. It works! TANGERINE wasted my 2 weeks without WIFI at home.

Easy switch over, efficient and friendly service

Currently leaving another provider for our 3 mobile phone plans and switching to Tangerine. The whole process has been so easy. Have spoken to a couple of staff members, William and Aria and they set our new sims up with no issues at all. There was no long wait time on hold, and the staff were friendly and efficient. Can't believe we put up with our other providers poor customer service and exorbitant fees for so long. We have decided we will now also go to Tangerine for our home internet.

Good customer service - Lee

Today, I called as I was having problems with my mobile service. I recieved help from 'Lee'.

She was very helpful in giving good responses to my issues and helped me get my problems relating to system automatic payments failing resolved. I was glad it was resolved quickly and I won't hopefully need to call again so thanks Lee for giving me peace of mind.

4 stars since the bot needs some fixing as each month I ran into the same problem until finally calling for direct customer service.

Had trouble churning from Telstra to…

Had trouble churning from Telstra to Tangerine as the mobile didn't have an exposed account number. A call to their customer service (Vira) put thing right. She stepped me through where to find the customer number on the telstra site, she edited, and resubmitted the churn record, and all worked perfectly. Thanks Vira!

Some difficulties but good customer service

We've had alot of trouble changing the accounts from the previous owner to our business name, simcard getting lost etc. However, the customer service I've received has been really good. When I get in touch, someone actually does what they can to help me.

I had an issue with another provider…

I had an issue with another provider transferring my account without my knowledge. I checked with Niko at Tangerine support & he couldn’t have been more helpful. A solution was found & acted on with minimal extra stress for me. Great service!

Hacked and leaked details

They over charge by a lot if a payment is missed, they have a very stupid authentication process that you need access to your mobile or internet before they will talk to you so if you are cut off or having tech difficulties they won't help you till you can connect to authenticate. Lastly, they were hacked a short while ago leaking all personal details, home addresses, names, dobs, etc etc etc. I've already had some of my identity stolen as a result. I have now changed to another isp.
