Do not trust them

I was rented an electric MG (I didn't ask for an electric car). It wouldn't start after charging it prior to return and they charged me CHF 330 to recover the vehicle 2 miles back to the rental. At no point did they say recovery was not included and that if their car malfunctioned I would be liable for recovery charges.

Stirchley was great.

Hired an Electric van in Stirchley, Birmingham. Customer service was great, Darcy was lovely & helpful. Van was clean & worked fine. Delivered the van the next day (within the 24 hours, which customer service were helpful on) with no hassle. Smiles all around. Got my deposit back so happy to use their services again.

Check the location! We were sent by an insurance company to…

We were sent by an insurance company to ARC Daventry which is actually in Weedon, 5miles away. The staff saw us park outside their office which is on a filling station forecourt, but failed to tell us that where we parked we would get a £60 parking ticket after 5 minutes. We were early as we expected it to be in Daventry and the hire car wasn’t there yet, so we got a ticket for 7minutes. Enterprise weren’t interested in my complaint, I think they should have a duty of care to their customers, but apparently not. The car wasn’t what we wanted and had the wiper washer filler cap missing so the washers didn’t work.

Just don’t!!

We booked a van to pick up this morning from Milford Haven depot at 8.30am. Just before pickup we were informed that the van would not be ready for collection until 9.30 which was a massive inconvenience as we had to drive to Leicester and back to clear a lockup in a day. At 9.10am another call informed us that we had no van!!! This has resulted in costing a further months rent on the lockup as due to other commitments the job cannot be done for a week now. We will be booking a van from a more reliable supplier!!! Days Rentals!!!

failed promises

went online to book a van, on line process was easy to use and seemed straight forward, confirming my booking and pick up time. only for an hour before collection received a phone call to tell me that they did not have any vans available for hire. suggested I travel 40 miles to a different location to get one.

Unprofessional and underhand

My Volvo car broke down. Volvo assistance arranged the hire car through Enterprise, Hamilton branch. The car was a mess when I picked it up - broken section in interior boot and missing EV cables, damage to rear bumper, various scratches, and sunglasses holder missing from inside roof. This was all noted but weeks later they took £250 from my credit card without any communication and on enquiry said it was for damage, but didn’t say what. The branch manager acknowledged it was an error and emailed confirming they would refund, but they didn’t. Weeks later I raised a dispute through NatWest and had the £250 returned but Enterprise are now contesting it with a note of the damage I’m allegedly responsible for (the first time I’ve been given any details of why the charge was applied), and it’s the damage I mention above, which was already there. Not surprisingly they’ve included photocopies of the contract where I’ve signed it, but they haven’t included the sheets indicating existing damage to the car. Shockingly dishonest. I’m replying to NatWest to uphold the dispute.

Absolute scam

Absolute scam - can't untick protections during check-in, so you're forced to pay it if you want to do an early check in. Terrible website design if not intentional.

This company are con artists

This company are con artists - they made an unauthorised charge of over £160 to our credit card 6 weeks after we used the service and after we received back our full deposit, with no notification or explanation whatsoever, which is a direct violation of consumer rights laws. 3 phonecalls and 3 emails later to dispute the charge they are denying they've received our emails and we've had zero response. If zero stars was an option they would get zero. We will be reporting them to the BVRLA.

This company runs on a culture of…

This company runs on a culture of scamming it's customers and bleeding them out of any money they can.

The preparation of their vehicles is below standard and lazy and their customer service after rental is appalling.

Do not use Enterprise unless you want to be thrown around for weeks afterwards asking for money back that they will falsely charge you. You will get no direct answers for your issues and will be mislead several times.

Awful company.

Called 2 hours before rental to say van not available!

Was called by Enterprise in Livingston, Scotland 2 hours before my van rental to be told they would not be able to supply the van for our home removal. This van was booked a month in advance and I normally spending a reasonable amount of money with Enterprise each year. I called a local firm who had the van I required thank goodness.

They canceled the van rental because they didn’t have it available for that day. It’s been a month, and they still haven’t refunded the money. Called many times, but the money hasn’t been returned. Shameful.

Shocking service

Shocking service, poor communication, my daughter is currently in an email/telephone ping pong battle to get her deposit back as they are disputing a hairline crack on a wing mirror that was already photographed. Each operator whether in the Peckham pick up branch or admin team give conflicting advice at every touch point. Total cowboys, avoid this company at all costs !!

Enterprise are a Lovely Company

Absolutely lovely company, the lady I spoke to on the phone was so polite & helpful. She honestly couldn’t do enough to help me. She took the time & was very patient with me as I have a learning disability due to my autism. I explained I was ringing on behalf of a friend who needs a vehicle for hire as he has a driving lesson business. Sometimes he supports me a lot & he’s lovely, I wanted to do something to help him. I’d rung several companies before who were incredibly rude :(. But this company couldn’t have been more kind & helpful. I highly recommend Enterprise to anyone :)

Be careful, take videos of absolutely everything or they will have you!

Really great booking system and easy to rent but 99% guaranteed they will try to get you once you have returned the vehicle. I've rented through them a few times now for convenience and since the first time when they random took hundreds of pounds from me after 5 months with no communication of doing so, after them saying all was fine and returning my deposit at the return point, I now take videos and photos of absolutely everything. This time after returning the vehicle and it being checked over and told all was ok, I of course got that claim come through. I have all evidence but it is a waste of time with multiple phone calls and emails. They will try to get away with anything so be careful!

Enetrprise Dundee

Enterprise were allocated from an insurance company to provide a car when mine was being repaired. Booked in 9 days in advance. Day comes around. No contact from branch. Called multiple times and given the run around. Eventually called me back to tell me there was no car. No other cars available to help out. Called customer services and they are 5 days to get back to you. Shambles of a company. 10/10 do not recommend

Enterprise Sidcup sloppy & unprofessional

Enterprise Sidcup - Sloppy & unprofessional
I hired a van from Enterprise Sidcup for a one way journey to Scotland, having pre-booked & pre-paid online.
On picking up the vehicle, the staff member I was dealing with wanted me to sign the agreement when it was parked in a position where it was impossible to check one side of it. It was repositioned on request.
There was damage to one of the wing mirrors, he said he would record this, but never did as I found when I returned the vehicle.
He tried to sell me additional insurance cover that I had pre paid for online. He was adamant I didn’t have the enhanced cover until I showed him my booking details.
The vehicle was to be returned with same fuel as at the beginning. He said it had 3/4 of tank, it didn’t, it was just under 1/2.
So If hiring from Sidcup, my advice would be to double check and photograph/video everything.
On returning the vehicle in Scotland I dealt with two branches, Edinburgh Leith & Corstorphine. The staff there were friendly & helpful. Sidcup, take note.

Frauds

This is in the minus. Hands down the worst rental company I've ever dealt with at London Luton a bunch of incompetents. Customer service is useless nobody ever gets back to you breach their own policies. Frauds from the bottom to the top. Not one single manager has returned my back request, email or complaint!!
