Good company, but poor experience
Customer service was wonderful, however; I was disappointed about the transfer of loans from Nelnet. Nelnet claims this company sent a check to the wrong address within their company, so even though they cashed the check in one part of the company, every time I would follow up they said they hadn’t received the check from Laurel Road, then DRB. I would then call DRB and they would explain they sent the check and it cleared. This went on for about a month until I was almost in tears. The money finally got in the right place, but what a terrible experience. I also had to pay interest to BOTH companies for the same money. This could have been avoided had the check been sent to the right adddress. Although most of my grievance is with Nelnet, I was put in the middle of dealing with an issue that I should not have had to deal with and I feel robbed of the interest I had to pay double for!
