Mailchimp is user friendly, and helps my clients be successful
Overall Satisfaction with Mailchimp
I use it for a marketing newsletter for my travel agent client. She advertises a variety of trips she is offering to her clients. I also use it personally for my business as a weekly newsletter and sales opportunity.
Pros
- User friendly design
- Automation is easy to implement
- Provides an easy way to re-send to unopened users
Cons
- It would be nice to have an eyedropper to match colors vs. the current color picker
- Could have more attractive templates
- My client has a very high open rate - over 50% and often books several high end tours ($6K+) off her emails alone.
- My personal business yields about a 29% open rate, and I get multiple digital product sales from it
I feel like Mailchimp is more advanced than Constant Contact. I have used both, and if a client asks, I always steer them towards Mailchimp. The whole system is more user-friendly, and I get fewer errors when creating the email. I also think the templates are a little fresher. MailChimp is my choice!
At this time, we really just use the email function. I haven't tried using it for social or other functions.
My client (travel agent) always gets really high open rates and often books at least one trip every time I send an email for her. I also know the subject line is crucial to better open rates.
