To start receiving orders again:
1. Tap the “Paused” status bar at the top of the home screen
2. Then tap on “Resume orders” and you will be unpaused.
If you don’t have access to your Uber Eats Orders tablet, you can unpause via Uber Eats Manager (on Web, iOS or Android) or reach us at restaurants.anz@uber.com.
Why do we have an automatic pause?
Orders that are cancelled or not accepted create a negative experience for the customer, and can discourage them from ordering from you in the future.
Stores may be paused for a number of reasons, including when multiple orders in a row go unaccepted, and when it appears that your restaurant is too busy or unavailable to take new orders.
How do I unpause?
A store can be manually unpaused using the Uber Eats Orders tablet:
- Tap the “Paused” status bar at the top of the home screen
- Then tap on “Resume orders” and you will be unpaused
If you don’t have access to your Uber Eats Orders tablet, you can unpause via Uber Eats Manager (on Web, iOS or Android) or reach us at restaurants.anz@uber.com.
In case you don’t manually unpause, a store that has been automatically paused will be automatically unpaused by 6:00am the following day.
How do I avoid getting paused?
If your settings are configured correctly and you are on top of your orders, you will generally not have to worry about getting paused.
Here are some top tips:
- If you have a one-off change to your schedule, set Holiday Hours in advance so you can enjoy your public holiday or event in peace.
- Make sure your opening hours are up-to-date, taking into account any time needed to set up or pack up between shifts.
- Check that your Preparation TImes setting is accurate to ensure that you’re setting the right expectations for your customers and delivery people.
- If you have a lot of orders coming through at once, you can enable Busy Mode on your Uber Eats Orders tablet to add a temporary buffer time to your orders.
