Safety First
- Smoother trips: Please remember to observe standard traffic laws and follow the directions of parking staff, police officers, and directional signs around stadiums.
- Communicating with your rider: Given the volume of people expected to be leaving the stadiums, you may want to contact your rider through the in-app chat once you arrive in the designated lot, to help them find you.
- Identity check: It may be helpful to confirm your rider’s name to ensure the right person who requested the trip is getting in your vehicle.
- Picking up with confidence: We’ve got safety features in place to help everyone feel secure on every ride.
- You may be asked to enter a PIN from your rider before a trip which will help you verify that it’s the right person.
- You can enable RideCheck, which will prompt both you and the rider to confirm everything is OK during the trip.
- If you’re in an emergency situation, you can call emergency services directly from the Uber app by tapping the blue safety shield icon.
- Something left on the back seat: If you notice an item left in your vehicle, please contact us immediately and we’ll try to connect you with the rider so you can arrange a mutually convenient time and place to return it – and please keep it safe until it’s returned.
- 2-way ratings: Your feedback matters. Low-rated trips are logged, and users may be removed to protect the Uber community.
- We encourage you to avoid tickets: Picking up and dropping off riders in restricted areas may result in a citation from law enforcement. The driver is solely responsible for any and all payments for citations incurred by the driver as a result of any and all Qatar road rule violations.
- Local Law Enforcement: In an emergency situation, you can contact Qatar law enforcement by dialing 999.
You can learn more about the safety features available to you on the Uber app here.
