About the European Youth Portal

The European Youth Portal offers European and country level information about opportunities and initiatives that are of interest to young people who are living, learning and working in Europe.

The European Youth Portal addresses young people, but also other stakeholders working in the field of youth (youth organisations, youth workers, policy makers, etc.).

 

Structure of the site

You can find 4 main types of content on the European Youth Portal, each grouped in a specific section: 

  • Thematic pages related to EU youth policies: “Get involved”
  • Thematic pages related to opportunities to go abroad: “Go abroad”
  • EU-funded programme/initiative pages: “EU initiatives”
  • Policy pages: “EU Youth Strategy”
  • In addition to these 4 main types of content, you can read stories and testimonials of young people, news, and check for events. 

In the “Get involved” section, you can find articles about active citizenship, from different angles:

  • EU Youth Dialogue
  • Democratic participation
  • Your rights & inclusion
  • Civic engagement
  • Sustainable development
  • #EUYouth4Peace
  • Intercultural understanding
  • Sports

In the “Go abroad” section, you can browse the different opportunities related to: 

  • Studying 
  • Volunteering 
  • Traineeships
  • Working 
  • School and youth exchanges
  • Travelling 

These can be accessed from the homepage or from the main menu. 

In the “EU initiatives” section, you can locate information about the different initiatives and programmes funded by the European Union like Erasmus+, European Solidarity Corps, DiscoverEU, Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange, and many more.

In the “EU YouthStrategy” section, you can access information related to the EU Youth Strategy, which is the framework for EU youth policy cooperation for 2019-2027, based on the Council Resolution of 26 November 2018.

You can also use the search bar to easily access the information you are looking for.

 

Languages

The website navigation and the content is available in up to 28 languages. You can change the display language of a page anytime by clicking on the language selector. Doing so will also change the navigation language of the website.

The European Commission and the Eurodesk Network maintain the content of this website. For more information, please click on the "Legal notice" at the bottom of this page.

 

Asking your questions

The Portal allows visitors to submit questions by clicking on the button “Questions” by filling in the form in any of the languages used on the Portal. These questions will be answered by the Eurodesk Network
