Leadership

The CATA Board of Directors establishes policy which sets the direction for CATA operations. The Board consists of representatives from member jurisdictions that provide funding for CATA operations. These jurisdictions include the Cities of Lansing and East Lansing, and Townships of Delhi, Lansing, and Meridian. The Board also includes voting representatives from Ingham County and Michigan State University.

The Local Advisory Council (LAC) comprises individuals from area agencies who represent senior citizens, persons with disabilities and citizens at large. The LAC advises CATA on senior and disability issues.

CATA’s Executive Staff manages the day-to-day operations of the organization and its 430 employees. Departments represented by CATA’s leadership include the Executive, Marketing & Customer Experience, Finance, Maintenance, Information Technology Services, Human Resources, Planning & Development and Operations departments.

CATA bus operators and mechanics are represented by the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) Local 1039.
