Background Text, Report
This is the report of the research which was carried on during the long-term project "UNIQUE Year of Learning: Youth on the Move!".
Research interviews made with participants of the Youth in Action Programme show 8 factors supporting their learning.
The tool enables project organisers and leaders to reflect on their experience and discuss how can they intentionally support the learning of young people during mobility period.
The findings of the research can be used for building a workshop on how to support better the learning of young people during their international mobility period (e.g. youth exchange, EVS or training activity).
Step-by-step implementation:
1. Facilitator briefly presents the main findings of the research.
2. Participants break up into smaller groups and reflect on the following:
- Analise what they recognise from their experience in the research findings?
- Discuss what they can do intentionally order to foster the learning factors during learning mobility projects?
3. Share main conclusions in the plenary session.
The possible learning outcomes of this tool:
- Raised awareness and evidence-based knowledge on the factors supporting learning in mobility projects;
- Reflection on their learning experience and experience of supporting young people in mobility projects;
- Identified strategies on how to intentionally foster learning factors to support learning in mobility projects.
In case participants are newcomers they may reflect on the actual learning experience of being involved in the international educational activity.
